Almost done electrical rough in

I’ve been quite busy but when I try to pull something together for a post there isn’t much to show. I’ve been focused on the electrical rough in. I wake up in the middle of the night plotting circuit loads and wire routing. Since I haven’t done anything to this scale before there is a large learning curve to overcome – but it’s almost done. Who knew a little house used so much wire?   And, of course, living on an island off of an island means you can’t just run out to the big box store for more supplies when you run out of something.

Notice the door locks now too.  I’ve made a mess of the place cutting channels through the foam to run wires. It’s like a styrofoam snow storm whenever the wind kicks up and the door is open. Add to that the hundred or so holes that have been drilled through the wood (mostly overhead) and the place is a giant mess!

Today we had a visit from one of the Sea Shepherd vessels. There is a local biologist involved in “Operation Virus Hunter”.  They are patrolling BC fish farms looking for infected salmon that are passing diseases on to the wild population.
