Today started out as per usual. It rained quite a bit overnight but stopped before we got up and moving. We were only two hours to the ferry and got on the one we were aiming for. A rather uneventful drive to that point but here are some of the sights.

We landed in Nanaimo and headed to the dog park for the first off leash roam for Wandering Dog in days. He met two friends before deciding they were too young for him to play with in the rain.
At this point in the day we discovered that the licence plate on the trailer was missing. Apparently it got ripped off at some point over the last couple of days. Neither one of us could remember when we had actually seen it last. It will remain a mystery.

We stopped in Campbell River for the night at Elk Falls Provincial Park. We briefly toyed with the idea of staying in a hotel but we are particular about leaving the boat trailer and most places are full (it being a long weekend and all).

So here we are in the rain with a tarp over our table and WD hiding in the car again because he’s not an outside guy. I really hope we don’t have to camp tomorrow on Malcolm. I think I’ve had enough of it for a while.
