Seems fitting that immediately after leaving Wapiti Campgrounds this morning we see an actual Wapiti (Elk). Unfortunately the phone was dead and I couldn’t take a picture. After a half hour on the road we were already into BC. . . and rain. It rained for most of the day.
Taking the route between Jasper and Kamloops is significantly different than the Banff to Kamloops route. It was a wise choice towing the load because there were fewer hills and it was mostly down. Good thing we didn’t need to use one of these runaway lanes for no break situations!
All snug and cosy amongst the cedar and hemlock trees for the night in Hope, BC. Off to the ferry tomorrow (hopefully). It is a long weekend after all.
