Bere Point trail & Mitchell Bay beach

I know, I know two posts in one day but I am feeling ambitious and I don’t want you to feel left out of our adventures. We went to Bere Point a week ago so this one is actually a little dated. This is where the orcas come in and rub on the beach but we didn’t see any signs of them that day. I was told that they were there yesterday but it really is about being in the right place at the right time.

WD was a little scared at what may be lurking in all these tree holes but he was brave enough to check in a few. After all you never know where you may find some tasty morsels! There were plenty of funky mushrooms but he didn’t bother with those. The views were stunning.

Mitchell Bay

We went to explore Mitchell Bay area yesterday and were greeted by the sounds of whales blowing. Finally caught a glimpse of a fluke coming out of the water but mostly just saw large blobs moving just under/above the surface. We believe they were humpbacks. Sorry no pictures of that.

Wandering Dog got some more off leash time and chased a few sticks into the water but rarely ever brought any of them out. I don’t think he liked the taste of the salt water.

This sign sits high up on a bluff for all the boaters to see.

We are having a great time exploring here. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous.
