We’re here! We pulled it off and managed to build a house that is livable although it is very messy and there is still a lot to do. It is now possible to just sit and watch the eagles catching fish or the boats come and go from our little bunker in the hill. It seems possible that one day there will even be order to the inside.
WD dove right in to help put everything together. Here he is assisting with the bed assembly. Such a helpful boy.
Now we have the storage equivalent of a closet hidden away under our bed.
And we just finished installing the actual closet that will be closed off with panel curtains one day soon. For now it’s just nice not to be living out of a duffle bag. Apologies for the picture quality. It’s always dark when I remember to take a picture.
The bathroom is on the list to get a few more storage updates but it is fully functioning.
The place is still a mess since the paying work has taken priority this week and frankly we are enjoying not working on it all day, every day so we have let a few things slide and left some others for later – like the real countertop.
I will eventually take some proper pictures with my real camera and this won’t be the end of the updates since nothing has been completed on the outside yet. Until then I will leave you with the view from my front door.
Wow, I know it is a tiny house, but it looks spacious. So glad you are finally in and of course the work will never end, that’s the joy of houses – looking very comfortable even with the unfinishedness. Hi to WD and Darren, looking forward to your visit home in April, Love AT
