Today was a slugfest. I estimated we moved about 4000 lbs of drywall and insulation down the hill and into the house. There were two of us and it was not at all fun.
There is no satisfaction in saying I did that myself unlike some of the other things we’ve been up to lately like playing with concrete in the hopes of creating a decent looking countertop. It needs some fine tuning, but not too bad for a first attempt.
Or playing with fire to char the cedar portion of the exterior siding.
We’ve had a couple more visitors stop by to check things out.
And have managed to get WD out and about a couple of times too. He’s really not as chubby as he looks in this picture.
All I can say now is that I really, really look forward to the day I can say the drywall is done.
That is an incredible looking concrete countertop – I just absolutely love it! The cat visitor looks well nourished and WD is not looking too rotund in his pic – such amazing trails you have – the trees are startling they’re so huge.
I also love your charred cedar – it looks exactly like the milk house here on the farm. I didn’t realize you could duplicate the patina of the ancient milk House! Well done Jenn!
Love the counter top…..beautiful – keep up the good work. Think of all the muscles you are exercising! Love AT
