Still sputtering along with the build. I had some willing helpers here for a bit but wasn’t really at a point to do much. Still, they were determined and left their mark on the build in the form of staining the fascia boards. . . which still aren’t up yet but I pretend put them up to get a picture with a sample of some of the siding. There will be a combination of corrugated metal and wood on the front of the house.
WD, the building inspector, was along to check out progress and took in the new shower base and the insulated walls.
The electrical chases that were cut in the foam have been refilled with spray foam and most of the front wall has been insulated with Roxul. Just need another bag of it to finish after punching some holes in the wall for pipes and lights.
The other new thing on site is the shipping container for storage and working under cover. It has come in quite handy already since it was pouring rain during the staining of the boards.
While my visitors were here we went out to find some of the whale neighbours that call these waters home during the summer months. We weren’t disappointed. A couple of them came right up to our boat to say hi.
And last week WD met a potential new friend although he is a little concerned about the amount of food this guy can pack away.
