Gypsy wagon gets camouflaged and a walk about

After a long, frustrating day yesterday at the licencing office we finally handed in our Ontario licences and plates and are now officially BC Residents. The gypsy wagon blends in a little better now, don’t you think?

Seeing as a gypsy must wander and the weather is still beautiful, I decided to do a walk about and get some pictures from around Sointula. All of this is within 4 blocks of where we are living. Everyone asks how we are adjusting to living on a small, quiet island but we have never been right in the middle of things before so for us it is sensory overload!

This is where I work. The commute is one block so there is no excuse for tardiness.

And this is where we are living. We have the upstairs of the building on the right (with the giant deck).

These bikes are scattered about everywhere and make for an interesting walk. I keep wonder how many of them are out there in obscure places I have yet to see. . .

  1. Thanks for the walkabout Jenn! I think your post office may be a bit bigger than the one here in Denbigh and your views – incredible! You found a terrific apartment…the bikes are so quaint. What a lovely community you are becoming part of.
