Can’t keep a gypsy home

With the first week of work out of the way we headed down island for some supplies and exploration. Went to Nanaimo for a night at Living Forest Campground. This seems fitting since I work at Living Oceans. Our site even had a view of Gabriola in the distance (above picture).

You just never know what you are going to see when you are out and about. It is always good to have a camera ready. Case in point – Zombie Patrol Car.

We landed for the night at Miracle Beach Provincial Park in between Courtenay and Campbell River. Nice park but I’m not sure WD likes camping anymore.

We did the bulk of our shopping in Campbell River. We quite like it there and WD even got to dine out for lunch with us at the floating fish and chip restaurant at the harbour. Here he poses with the frogman carving on the dock.

Wait a second . . . there are bugs here?
